Vivienne and I decided to take a walk over Walthamstow Marshes armed with video and still cameras. We were just packing up at about 4:15pm we saw billows of smoke in the distance. I took a short video clip and on the way home, Vivienne, armed with still camera, took some pictures from the car. There were 75 firefighters deployed from Chingford, Leytonstone, Walthamstow and Woodford.
Gladly, no one was hurt but several industrial units were destroyed by the blaze. For more info click here to go the Walthamstow Guardian Website.
